Get ready for KP5/NP3VI to show up on the air from Desecheo shortly.
This is the 28th Most Needed Country from the East Coast of the
USA so it is really a rare one!!

Desecheo 2026 Dxpedition (January 12th)
Desecheo DXpedition 2026 Update
Date/Time: January 12, 2026 13:20 UTC
The Team Is On Desecheo Island
The team departed the mainland early this morning and made the
crossing
by boat in calm pre-sunrise conditions. As shown in the GPS
track, the
route took them west from Aguadilla directly to Desecheo Island,
with
live tracking confirming a smooth and steady transit.
They are now on the island and actively unloading and setting up
the
equipment. Once installation is complete, system checks and
testing
will begin. If everything performs as expected, the station will
be
QRV shortly.
Operations are getting very close. Stand by and get ready for
KP5!
