Good Morning, As the Vice President of the WVARC I am inviting you to check into the Brand New WV Area Service and Information net which is sponsored by the WV Amateur Radio Council. It is being held every Saturday at 8:PM on the Appalachian Repeater System. The Net Coordinator is Caleb (KF8EYE) and we are set to begin the net tonight for the first time. The RF Coverage extends well beyond WV including Southwest Virginia, Eastern Ky, Eastern TN and a Large portion of Northern, Central and Western NC.we would love to have your Amateur Friends from other areas check in and give information about Amateur Radio in those areas as well.

Help spread the word about the net as we share Amateur Radio Information across the state of West Virginia and beyond. The Link System has had several recent additions and more to come. Regardless if you can Hit a Repeater in the system, feel free to connect via Allstar 2198 or Echolink 4112 (WV8CH-R). In the North Central Part of the State so far we have 147.330 Pl 123.0 (Bunners Ridge in Eastern Marion County) 441.775 Pl 123.0 Fairmont, WV and 444.800 Pl 103.5 (WVU) in Morgantown. We hope to have the New Parkersburg and Buckhannon VHF Repeaters on the air this spring.

Thank you and God Bless, Jason Hatfield KD8FDD

I don’t think I can get into a repeater that has access to this net. We can only get into the Scott depot (WV8AR), Ripley and Salt Rock I believe. I have a 300w 2m Amp but no Power Supply large enough. I can hear every repeater S5+ with the exception of the .350 in Charleston. That one in just above my noise level.

When my rich uncle gets out of the poor house, I need two 150’ runs of coax and a 75a power supply.
