Upcoming Tournaments

Good Evening, 

We have some tournaments to announce.  

1. There is the Thomas Berquist Memorial State Championship on Sept 13, 2025 in Huntington.  

2. Suncrest Middle School Chess League Tournament on Sept 20 in Morgantown. 

3. National Chess Day on October 11 in St. Albans. 

We are going to be making some changes to the league this year.   The league will consist of several tournaments played across the state from September until February.  We will keep track of team scores as teams play in multiple tournaments.  Once the scores are totaled, we will award trophies in February as we have done in the past.  We will be sending out the final details about the league in the next few days. 

We are looking for a few schools to host a tournament in December or January.  

The state tournament will be in the north central part of the state in 2026 (Clarksburg/Bridgeport).  Once we have the details we will share that information as well.
