Hello,
Just a reminder the WV State Scholastic Chess Tournament is this weekend, March 21 at the
Harrison County Senior Center
in Clarksburg, WV.
The winner of the various sections will qualify to go to their respective invitational tournament.
Top HS player will be nominated to the
Denker National Tournament of High School State Champions
. The winner of the Denker will receive $5,800 in scholarship and cash prizes.
The top girl player will be nominated to the
Ruth Haring National Tournament of Girls State Champions
. The winner of the Haring will receive $5,800 in scholarship and cash prizes.
The top Middle School player will be nominated to the
Barber National Tournament of Middle School State Champions.
The winner of the Barber will receive $5,800 in scholarship and cash prizes.
The top K-5 player will be nominated to the
Rockefeller III National Tournament of Elementary School State Champions
. The winner of the Rockefeller including $5,800 in scholarship and cash prizes to the champion.
The top K-3 player will be nominated to the
Ashley National Tournament of K-3 State Champions
. The winner of the Ashley will receive
$5,800 in scholarship and cash prizes to the champion.
