  Hi Everyone,

I wanted to remind you that we are doing a chess day tournament at St. Francis of Assisi in St. Albans on Oct 12.  You can see the announcement here Events - Wvsca
There are sections for everyone.
  • Scholastic unrated - This is for players that have never played in a tournament before and will provide them an opportunity to experience a tournament without being a US Chess member.
  • There are quads for rated players.  Scholastic and "open".
    • The way a quad works is all players are lined up by rating highest to lowest.  Plays are then separated into groups of 4 players (a quad).  Each quad will play 3 games, a round robin.  We will pay prize money for the winner of each quad.  As a general rule you will be playing like rated players
I look forward to seeing everyone.

Thanks
