2024 WVSCA State Scholastic Chess Championships

Hi Everyone,

Please don't forget to register for the WV State Scholastic Chess Championships.  You can register online at chessregister.com.  The entry fee is $25/player.  When you register, you can pay via paypal.  You can bring a check or cash to the event.  

There seems to be a little bit of confusion when registering a team.  it will charge you $25 which is the per person charge.  So, if you registered a team and only paid $25, please pay the remaining $25/player fee.  If you want to use paypal, you can use @wvsca or cr...@wvsca.com. 

There is a link for individual player registration.  That is generally used for a single player, such as a homeschooled player, to register.  

The winners of the various sections will be nominated to go to the 124th U.S. Open Championship in Norfolk VA, July 27th.  

The top HS player will be nominated to go to the Denker Tournament of High School Champions

The top Middle School player will be nominated to go to the Barber Tournament of Middle School Champions

The top K-5  player will be nominated to go to the Rockefeller Tournament of K-5l Champions.

The top Girl player will be nominated to go to the Haring Girls Tournament of Champions.
