WV State Championship

Hi everyone, 

Just a reminder the WV State Chess Championship is this coming weekend.  It will be at the Huntington YMCA on Saturday, Sept 10 and Sunday Sept 11.  To hold the title, you must be current on your dues prior to play beginning and be a resident of the state.  You can review https://www.wvchess.org/members to see if you WV Chess membership  is current.  

You can register online at  ChessRegister - Event Registration.   You can also register on site.  This year the chess championship has been titled the Thomas Berquist Memorial   As many of you know, Tom was the secretary/treasure for decades and this is a fitting tribute to him.  

There will be a business meeting that starts at 10AM.  Officers will be elected, vote on who will be organizing and running various tournaments next year will also be discussed.
