Hello all,
Last week I wrote two emails to support the House version of the
budget, per Allen Johnson's request and sent them to my delegates and
senators. I will attach them on our Google Group page, or if you would
like to see them, please feel free to email them and I'll share. If
you have any that you'd like to share on the group's page, I think it
would be a real morale-booster for us all.

I sent individual letters to the 11 delegates and 3 senators in our geographical area -- the Northern Panhandle. Since I know all of them [somewhat], I tried to make each letter somewhat personal, with support for the various public libraries mentioned by name, and for the importance of the West Virginia Info Depot to academic libraries in general, and to West Liberty University, in particular. Eight of the 14 responded with phone calls, e-mails, and one letter.
The primary elections are coming soon, so keep on the lookout for library-friendly candidates. We have several open seats in our area, and when one of the candidates is a former student who spent a great deal of time at the reference desk asking me questions, I felt he needed to be reminded, even though he is two elections away from getting a seat.

I wonder if you would mind sending or posting what you wrote about the
Info Depot? I didn't include that in my emails and I'd love to see
