Position: EHS Manager
Location: Wuxi
Responsibilities
Provide leadership and overall direction to a large or complex plant
in the Safety, Health, and Environmental (SH&E) areas.
Establish site SH&E goals and objectives consistent with regional
goals.
Support and promote health and safety improvements in accordance with
company guidelines. Support Environment and Compliance work.
Responsible for the development, implementation, and documentation of
EHS programs in accordance with Country and local requirements
Investigate and ensure timely documentation for all plant injuries,
illnesses and near misses.
Develops, helps conduct when needed and supervises EHS Training
required for the location, including external regulatory and internal
management programs.
Manage system for identifying, investigating, recording, and reporting
undesired SH&E events. Ensure corrective actions are taken to fulfill
regulatory compliance.
Provide regular communication to all levels of management regarding
SH&E issues and performance to ensure that relevant issues are quickly
and appropriately addressed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Safety or Environmental Engineering or equivalent
education or experience in Environmental, Health and Safety field.
Knowledge of applicable China and Local Safety and Health
regulations.
Strong verbal, analytical and teaming skills.
Excellent English, especially in oral and written.
5+ years professional experience in Safety and Health in a
manufacturing environment. At least 3 years in management position.
Experience in chemical production is preferred
Knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 14000 .ISO18000 is required.
Experience in setting up, promoting and training policies and process
are required.
