Microsoft Extended Windows 10 Support until October 2027.

According to various source and a "quiet announcement" on a Microsoft web page,

if you are currently enrolled in the Windows 10 ESU support that is supposed to end October 2026, Microsoft will continue the ESU support for Windows 10 until October 20227.

If you are using Windows 10 and have not enrolled in the ESU program you can enroll at anytime for free.

You can enroll in ESU in one of the following three ways:

• At no additional cost if you are syncing your PC Settings.
• Redeem 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points.
• One-time purchase of $30 USD or local currency equivalent plus applicable tax.

Microsoft is not explaining the syncing option to your advantage. You do have to log into Onedrive and setup synching through the Accounts menu in Settings. Then you can go to Windows Updates and Security and look for the "enroll" button. After a few clicks you will be enrolled. Then you can go back to the Accounts menu and turn off syncing and log off the Microsoft Account. If you don't turn off syncing, then you will be a new Microsoft customer in need of purchasing more OneDrive space.
