Hey peeps.
We are in the process of checking out this new thing.
An NT-mainframe with the ability for LPARS.

Anyone of you have any experience with it? Or even /heard about/tested it?
I'd love to hear how *SM b/a and restores work it.

PS:
Sorry peeps,
But i just can't keep this information from you.

If you are referring to LPARS in the sense of logically partitioning a mainframe box and running the ADSM/TSM software, then I can say it works just fine. Ran in this enviornment for some years...

No Larry,

I mean logically partitioning a NT_mainframe box and running NT-server
software with ADSM/TSM software.
This is quite new to me.

The only thing I can think of that can even come close to
this would be a Sequent (now IBM) NUMA-Q box. These boxes
are pretty slick, IMHO, because you can create domain-like
partitions running either NT or DYNIX/ptx UNIX at the same
time, on the same hardware!

Pretty slick...
