Hi everyone, it's time to plan for the March brevet hosted by West Texas Randonneurs. All riders are welcome ... mark your calendar for Mar-24 as follows:
400K RUSA Brevet
Check-in at Sleep Inn breakfast area 05:15
Date: Saturday, Mar 24
Time: 06:00 wheels up rain or shine
Start: Sleep Inn & Suites (5612 Deauville Blvd, Midland 432.694.4200)
Night Gear: Reflective vest, ankle bands and lighting required.

More information including a RWGPS link and hotel information are located on the Sign-Up sheet. The 400 usually takes 18-22hrs ... please ensure lights are in good order. Following traditional Rando practice this is a non-supported event where riders help each other and carry their own supplies. Be prepared for a 48 mile stretch without water starting at mile 180 (camelback or third bottle recommended). Otherwise, stores are about every 30 miles. As for weather ... plan on steady headwind and celebrate any tailwind. Spring weather can change fast in West Texas.
