WTracks fails to re-open files edited by Wtracks

Hello -

I'm having difficulty with AllTrails rejecting files that have been edited by WTracks that originated from AllTrails. Indeed, I cannot re-open the edited files in WTracks either. However, if I create New Track in WTracks and save that, it can be re-opened successfully. Please advise.

Attached are two "identical" files where _alltrails is the original, and _wtrx is the same file opened and then saved from WTracks. Precision is set to 5 decimals, using Imperial units.

Hi Eric

You just hit a bug in WTracks: it misses to properly encode the "&" character in the segment name.

Bug is now tracked here: https://github.com/opoto/wtracks/issues/49
I will fix it the coming days. In the meantime, as a temporary workaround, you can remove the "&" from the the segment name.

The issue is fixed. It happened during saving, the generated gpx was incorrect. So you still won't be able to open the erroneous file, you need to restart from the AllTrails file
