Hello

Many WTracks users are facing issues with elevation service not working, or failing routing requestq because of exhausted credits. This is because WTracks relies on external services for these features, which constrainted by quotas, and all users are sharing the same WTracks quotas. The number of Wtracks users is increasing, these quotas are not sufficient anymore.

Starting from today WTracks supports a new third party service for these features (https://openrouteservice.org/), which offers free accounts with sufficient individual quotas for a personal usage.
So all WTracks users are invited to:
  1. Create an account ("sing up") on https://openrouteservice.org/dev/#/signup. You only need to provide a valid email address. Click on the link in the account confirmation email to activate your account.
  2.  Request a "Free" token on https://openrouteservice.org/dev/#/home. The token name does not matter. The token will then be listed on the top of this page.
  3. Copy the token key value and set in in WTracks: open the menu, go to "Settings", click "API keys", check "OpenRoute" and paste your key value in the input field.
  4. Close the WTracks menu. You will then use your own OpenRoute account for elevation and routing services in WTracks.
Thanks to this operation, you will have less elevation and routing errors in WTracks.

PS: note that OpenRoute free plan still has some daily quotas: https://openrouteservice.org/plans/
You can check your remaining quota on the OpenRoute dashboard by clicking on the "%" sign ("show token quota") on the right side of your token line.
