We'll use this space to argue, hash out, agree, disagree, and
generally just "talk."

We are ready to make the "public launch" of this forum group. The
initial goal is to have at least 500 interested citizens participating
by the end of October. This electronic "virtual conference room" will
supplement our other electronic and F2F meetings and information
sharing tools. We are especially looking forward to having people from
across the country join us in our quest for "great government".

As new members begin to join this discussion forum, we will be asking
for comments and suggestions about its content. Too much? Too little?
What's missing? Is our "message" and approach to problem-solving on
the right track? If not, how can we fix that? Regards... The WTP Team

We are a little bit behind the power curve here, but we now have 70
WTP members "signed up" on this public forum. We have our next meeting
at the Spring Lake Town Hall on 15 November at 7PM... Principal topic
will be a a demographics workshop, in which the participants will get
to look at the initial research data, discuss and report implications
of the data, and determine what "data elements" are missing (to help
the demographics research team with collecting other needed/desired
information). It should be an educational event for all.

All of you who are "signed up" for this forum should take a few
minutes to look over the FAQ document on these groups that was sent
earlier. For those of you who do not have a "google groups account"
this might be a good time to get one, especially if you are (or want
to be) on one of the working committees.

For those of you who have some questions or ideas about "We the
People", you might want to reply to this message or start your own
thread. If at any time you think you are getting too much email, you
can sign in to your "google groups account" and adjust the flow from
(1) each message and reply to (5) no email... read only on line.

Keith, that is one of the good things about the forum... the presentation and the results of the workshop will be only line, whether you are here or out of town... we will always be "moving the poop to the group"...

Linda,

Give my regards to old South Bend (sung to the tune of "Old Broadway")... BTW, last time Duke and ND went up against each other (1960's, I think) it was 69-0 ND... this time Duke might reverse it... after all, Navy just won for the first time in 43 years...

Seriously, this is one of the reasons for this forum... we will have the presentation and the workshop results online before you get back from SB... you might even have some thoughts on it before you get back... but I hope you just take a break... the work will be here when you get back... fer shur'

Safe trip... [Wojo, ND class of '69]
