WTHA 2019 Chattanooga meeting

As a reminder, the cut off for the special block of rooms at the Read House is May 2, 2019.    Our group code is HWT19.

 

My recent schedule has been such that I have not yet finalized our meal locations, etc., but Larry and I have discussed agendas and the like, and Jim Ogden and I have been in touch re our Saturday tour (of recently acquired battlefield land) and possible meal locations.   We will be back with you in 10 days/2 weeks with an agenda and the final plans.

 

As far as attendees, John Hubbell and Jim Woodrick have since indicated that they will not be able to make it.   Richard McMurry, on the other  hand, will be with us for our meeting on Friday.      

 

At last count, we had the following group of attendees as confirmed or possible, as follows:

Friends, a few last details before your arrival later this week.

First, I will be meeting you at the Puckett’s Restaurant on Thursday at 7:00 as there is a reception for a retiring local judge that I need to attend.   The reservation will be under Sam Elliott and we are supposed to have a separate room.  

Second, our meeting on Friday starts at 9:00 in the West Room of the Read House.   We have the room reserved from 8am – 5pm. The West Room is on the mezzanine level (2^nd floor), and they have a map of the mezzanine posted just outside the elevator so guests can find their way.    

The Read House’s charges for snacks, coffee, etc. are rather high (to the point that I elected not to purchase any)  so I suggest that if you want coffee or water for the morning portion of our meeting, you stop at the Starbucks that is there on the first floor.
