Trey can you send the notes from the meeting with the SNAP folks?  Trying to refresh my memory on some of the action items. Thanks!

This is very unorganized but its a quick read.  Wish I had more to add, but I think the rebranding thing was what they were most interested in.

Hey guys,

I took a quick look at the syllabus for Capstone and saw that the 4- hour afternoon session this Saturday, June 7 is for "Team Project Working Sessions and Office Hours."  I don't think we signed up to talk to Martins but I guess we can at least use the time to regroup and talk about what needs to be done in the next month for the project.  Not sure if we are ready for a meeting with Martins at this point so maybe we should just reach out to him after we organize our plan.  Thoughts?

Team,

Attached is the SNAP Roadmap...please review and we can adjust during our next meeting.

I didn't see a dropbox for our capstone project so I created one and uploaded the Roadmap...

Brain dump...

Fundraising Ideas:
  1. Create local community groups to raise money for the area (Heights group, West U group, etc..) This will allow individuals to donate and see a direct impact in their community.
  2. Request donation amounts that equal the cost of procedure that way people know their money is going to an actual event and not a big pot of money
  3. Partner with schools and have children fundraise on behalf of SNAP...make it a competition
  4. Look for corporate sponsorship for moderate annual gifts to pay for certain things like fuel for the mobile station
  5. Leverage partner programs for other organization/people to raise on behalf of SNAP
  6. Position SNAP as a service provider so pet owners will take their pets there for procedures (highlight that SNAP has spayed over 10,000 dogs/cats which is more than everyone other Houston organization combined)
  7. Show the fundraising goals/needs on the front page so people know what the targets are (month or year)
Branding Ideas:
  1. New logo
  2. Better social media presence...stronger connection across all platforms
  3. Highlight veterinarian's who work at SNAP (2,000 procedures done, etc...)
  4. Highlight a dog/cat of the month to track their progress
  5. Evaluate Website improvements (front page to be more interactive where you can see the dog of the month or Vet of the month and you have a quick link to follow them on instagram or twitter)
  6. Don't worry about being confused with other SNAP organization as there is no overlap

I added to what Trey put our on DropBox and renamed it SNAP recommendations. I also added a section for Fundraising so we can have everything in one place. We need to get ready for Friday's meeting by making sure we have all our ideas/recommendations ready to present.

Lavan/Linda...can you add to the fundraising section. Trey/Tony...take a look and add to the list as well across all areas.

We have a 20 page paper and a 10 minute presentation due in 3 weeks so we need to get cranking!!!!

Bueller...Bueller...Bueller...

Are we ready for today's SNAP meeting? No one has added to the Recommendations doc since it's been updated on the 18th. Are everyone's ideas accounted for? Is everyone going to make the 1pm meeting today? Have you guys blocked my email address?

I added one more fundraising recommendation just now regarding leveraging social media platforms to generate donations.
I just emailed my sister’s bf to check on the logo but he is on west coast time and doesn’t usually get up to “work” until 9 or 10 (11 or 12 our time) so I’m not sure if we will hear back from him before the meeting.
I’ll see you guys there at 1.

I will print out 10 copies at 11:30am. We can use this to guide today's discussion and land on what our scope is going to be. I think we already have a good idea what we are going to do around branding (present a few new logo ideas, social media recommendations, community groups). Fundraising scope will be interesting.

Two logos. One with just the paw. One with the paw in a starburst. I like the paw only one better. What do you guys think?
