Alert on Fraudulent/Impersonation Emails

April, 23, 2026

Dear Siblings in Christ,

Grace and peace to you.

We have recently identified a number of fraudulent emails circulating that impersonate members of our staff, including the Bishop, and attempt to solicit private or sensitive information. We ask that you remain vigilant and exercise caution when receiving unexpected or unusual email requests.

Please note clearly: all official email communications from our office come exclusively from addresses ending in @neumc.org. Any message claiming to be from our leadership or staff that originates from a different domain should be treated as suspicious.

To protect yourself and our community, please:

  • Do not respond to or engage with suspicious emails.
  • Do not share personal, financial, or confidential information via email unless you are certain of the sender’s authenticity.
  • Carefully check the sender’s email address—not just the display name.
  • Be cautious of urgent language requesting immediate action, gift cards, passwords, or financial assistance.

If you receive a questionable message, please report it immediately to our Communications or IT office so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We remain committed to safeguarding our connection and appreciate your partnership in maintaining a secure and trusted communication environment.

Grace and peace,

Benjamin Musasizi
