Wayne State University Up 'til Dawn Philanthropy Opportunity
To: Whom It May Concern
Hello, my name is Paul Sorisho and I'm currently a junior here at
Wayne State University. This year I have been honored and privileged
to be apart of a new and amazing organization here at Wayne State
called Up 'til Dawn, which is a philanthropy campaign benefiting the
children of St. Judes Research Hospital. St. Jude is unlike any other
pediatric treatment and research facility anywhere. Discoveries made
there have completely changed how the world treats children with
cancer and other catastrophic diseases.
The way that Up 'til Dawn works is by using the power of the pen, it's
a letter writing campaign. What we are asking of you and your
organization is to form teams and for everyone on your team to mail
out 50 letters. Now before you start panicking about having to write
50 letters, please note that the letters are already pre-written and
all that you are required to do is provide an address of a friend or
family member, a signature at the bottom of the letter, and than stuff
the letter into an envelope. You don't even have to worry about
postage or mailing them out as that has already been taken care of by
the Up 'til Dawn staff and organization.
The letter writing campaign is scheduled to take place on November 28,
2007 in the Student Center Ballroom from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Also,
during the letter writing campaign we will be having a party of sorts
to celebrate fighting the yawn with Up 'til Dawn. There will be free
food, refreshments, snacks, and energy drinks! We are also doing
prize giveaways, which includes gift certificates and i-pods!
Always remember that students, just like you and me, "fight the yawn"
so that St. Jude patients can grow up and go to college, too. For
more information and to get your registrations forms to sign up for
the event please feel free to e-mail me back at this address, or call
me at 248-705-5698. We are trying to sign up as many teams as
possible for the event, so if that means you need me to personally
hand deliver the registration forms than I will be happy to do so.
