Dear members,

As the end of the school year approaches, ISA is looking for new faces
to be on our board for the upcoming year. The key to running any
organization is the generation of new ideas. If you are interested in
being part of the board of one of the largest student organizations on
Wayne State's campus, please apply! These positions are open to
undergraduate students, as well as graduate students. Attached is an
application, please fill this out and send it back to
wsu...@gmail.com. One of the current board members will get back to
you about interview timings. The deadline for the application is next
MONDAY, April 7th. The positions open this year are:

Secretary
This position requires excellent organization and writing abilities.
The Secretary is responsible for taking meeting minutes, maintaining
communication between board and members via email and other methods,
and distributing meeting agendas. The responsibilities for this
position include, but are not limited to:
*Communicating with the President and Vice President in organization
of board events
*Presenting the board with any and all concerns of ISA members
*Responding to emails of member and organizational concerns
*Maintaining meeting minutes, agendas, and filing summaries of all ISA
events

Community Service Chair
This position requires initiative in looking for various scholarships
available to students of Indian origin through Wayne State University
and its various colleges and departments, as well as in organizing
community service activities and other events for the professional
development of organization members. The responsibilities for this
position include, but are not limited to:
*Seeking out and dispersing information regarding scholarships (as
mentioned above) to ISA members
*Organizing events to promote professional development, such as Career
Fairs or speaking engagements of professionals in various fields
(medicine, business, law, pharmacy, engineering, et cetera)
*Finding and/or organizing service activities for ISA members (i.e.,
Habitat for Humanity build, Relay for Life, Children's Hospital drive,
et cetera)

Public Relations Chair
This position requires great communication and public speaking skills,
which will ultimately help to bring new faces into the ISA community.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
*Designing, printing, and distributing informational flyers for each
ISA event
*Sending out mass emails through the ISA account
*Sending out messages through the ISA Facebook account
*Selling tickets to all ISA events that require them (including
setting up tables at the Student Center and various other locations
throughout campus)

Culture Show Coordinator (2)
This position requires multi-tasking skills, which will be put to use
in putting on ISA's annual culture show. Leadership skills are also an
absolute must, because, during the show and in its planning stages it
will be needed to guide all of the participants. The responsibilities
for this position include, but are not limited to:
*Working with the Culture Show Chair
*Coordinating the various items for the Culture Show
*Creating a theme for the show
*Being backstage throughout the entire Culture Show and assisting in
its production
*Enforcing the guidelines of the culture show
