Fiber for the shack

In preparation for the fiber that is getting installed in the next couple of weeks, I did some housekeeping and temporary re-arranging in the shack today. Please keep the south west corner clear until further notice so that the contractors will have plenty of room to work.

The fiber is installed.

We now have WSU WiFi (WSU Secure & eduroam) and wired ethernet access available. I've left one network cable coiled on the workbench, ping me for additional needs.

I've scrounged up a security camera as well which I'll be adding to the shack. It won't be actively monitored, so don't worry about big brother, but will be useful if we ever have any security issues up there.

Great!  Dr. Sohl said that we can put the repeater at his house if we want to run a fiber optic up to it. ;)
