The swap meet will be fun. We'll have to set out early enough to have a good selection. Let's be on the lookout for any band-pass 2m cavities and another well-built outdoor antenna that is either 2m or 2m/440 for the igate.

Anything else we should be on the lookout for?

Programming some Motorola mobiles for APRS frequencies. The software is very timing dependent and requires either a 386 or a 486 with some tricks to work correctly. If we ever find a 386 laptop I'd buy it to keep around just for programming, but a couple of days borrowing a desktop would get the current job at hand done nicely.

Dang, I just chucked out an old laptop from the late 90's last spring. 

I think I have an old desktop in storage in the lab. I'll try to look for it this afternoon.

I have a 486. I've not turned it on in 15 years or more, but it is available if you want it. (It even has a Bernoulli Drive!)

It is in my advanced physics lab. I'll be teaching in room SL 232 (electronics lab) until about 5:20 today. I'm also available Thursday between 10 and 4.

For the record, much success was had with the 486 and the switch on the front that dropped it down to a nice 386-esque 8MHz.
