Hello former-engr101 clan:

You won't hear from this list much until the next engr101 rolls around again. But I wanted to let you know a coupla things:

  1. I’m going to host free and open workshops using the graphical dataflow language called Pure Data, Tuesdays in EB122 at 1:30. If you already know something about Pure Data, you can bring your own projects and be part of a community playing with it also. If you don’t know anything about Pure Data but you are curious about manipulating audio and video in real-time, this is a great opportunity to be introduced to one way to do this. Besides being a strong and fast language specialized for anything video and audio, Pure Data interfaces with anything, including the Arduino. Want to be your own VJ? Want to control video or audio manipulations with sensors? These workshops are for you.

    Download Pure Data free at:
    http://puredata.info/downloads

    Download the “extended” version

  2. If you want to stay in touch with workshops such as mentioned above, or you just want a place where you can chat and share ideas regarding making or building things, join the HAL-makers email list! Hosted by Hack.Art.Lab, the HAL-makers list is a great group of creative makers and builders in the Wichita area. Wondering what sort of op-amp to use for a project you have in mind? Found a cool link? Wondering something about the Arduino? Want to share about a cool project you built? Post to the HAL-makers list. Instructions for joining, archives, etc.
BTW, we like having you around...but if you want to unsubscribe to this engr101 list, follow the instructions in the footer of this message.
