Starting July 11, CRATEL will host Build Day every Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. If you build hardware, software, sounds, you are creative, or you just like to talk about art or technology projects then come by, hang out, chat, then build! We have all of the equipment you need to get started building or if you aren't quite ready to build but want to hang out and talk with other CRATELites, come by! We start this Friday.

Here are some of the activities that might be happening:
  • Tommy will be talking and perhaps might bring in part of his laser harp.
  • Brian will start to work on building his midi drum interface
  • students from the International Student Union will finish their first radio show for WSUiR
Also, if you like these sorts of announcements, please join our CRATEL builders email discussion list:

Oops, forgot to mention that Build Day is hosted in the CRATEL lab in C6 of Duerksen Fine Arts Center:
  • in Duerksen Fine Arts Center take the elevator to the basement
  • left at the tuba studio
  • follow the winding corridor
  • enter the big sad locker room to your right
  • take your immediate left into C6 (big WSUiR sign on the door if the door is closed)
-John

P.S. For those of you who haven't already seen, here are some excellent videos of recent CRATEL activies. They were shot and produced by Lonny Quattlebaum:

ECE238 Assembly Language Programming for Engineers: Hello GameBoy
ECE57J/FA590 Tech Art and Sound: Wired III at ShiftSpace
