I have several things I think we need to discuss.

Is anyone else interested in heading up this group?

Besides Barracks and Boze are there any other events/TD's we are not interested in working with?

We need to start getting our dates set. Dec 1st is fast approaching
Aug 12-17th totally dead because of Worlds Kris mentioned he wanted ASC to move the the beginning of April I think it should be our kickoff.

Finals Are we ok with the Newland being the Finals. Have we spoken to slowell about it.

Some technical issues
We need a Facebook page instead of a web page

We need at least three weeks between last event and series finals

Should we
base our finals payout on the total number of qualifiers prior to finals?
or
only on finals attendees?

ASC is a great opener!  Kris are you planning on a different weekend than the Annual "Wine Barrel" event?

Payouts should be posted before finals as if all qualifiers would attend.  Actual payouts should be adjusted to the number of attendees.  The total dollar amount paid out should not change, but how the pay out is split would.

I still need to clear it with Paul at Aloha but I am looking the first full weekend of April for Aloha(it does not conflict with Easter for at least 5 years)

It also provides a two week window before the Windy.
I am not sure of what size we will be doing…we usually borrow baskets from Tri Cities but I saw they were selling their extras…so we will see….I may just end up paying for at least 9 baskets out of my pocket.

So With the shit storm from States we need to get ahead of this especially if we want States to be our final next year.

We should emphasize our guidelines about Players packs and then devise a solution for the Pros.  Clearly they (Pros) are against any but the most basic fees.
This also opens another can of worms. What are we going to do if a series TD offers an AM only event. Practically speaking The lack of opportunity for "making a  few bucks off the Pro's same as I do off the Am's so Why should I even offer Open" rhetoric will soon follow.

Now you all know how I feel. That a TD deserves a reasonable fee for his efforts. "After All, The pDGA might supply the bones but it's the TD would puts the meat on them."

We need to get ahead of this in the next couple of days if not sooner.

What was the problem at States?

Any fees taken out of entry payment should be explained up front before an event so that people will know what they are purchasing.  There are many different TD's and philosophies on how a tournament should be organized, allow the players to decide which events are worthwhile.
