Wanted to share this query -- there may be yet another way for you to get involved in the Festival!

Dear Friend,
An exquisitely ornamented caligraphy of a verse from the Koran; a simple handcarved crucifix; a Star of David executed in tile mosaic; a monk's robe made of hand died and woven fabric.... Each of those and much much more might be considered sacred art.  Such works are displayed in churches, mosques, temples and homes.  From new works created last week or last year by someone you know, to ancient works of masters whose names are lost to memory, sacred art is all around us.

Works of art should be seen, appreciated and shared.  Do you know of a work of sacred art that should be displayed for all to see?

Interfaith Works World Sacred Music Festival will offer a sacred art exhibit in the art gallery at SPSCC as part of the 2009 festival.  The exhibit will run for 10 days, March 6-15.

Will you, please, spread the word in your congregation and among your friends?  Attached is a letter of announcement and a submission form for those wishing to submit art for this special exhibit.
Feel free to email it, or download and print it for as many people as would like it.

Please, help IW to show the people of Thurston County the wealth of sacred art that abounds in our community!

Interfaithfully yours,
Kathy Erlandson
