Greetings,
We have a group of high schoolers from the Bellevue area who are putting together a fundraiser for the Northwest Folklife Festival. This event will be scheduled for Saturday March 14th evening (between 7.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m.) in Bellevue, WA. We believe that Northwest Folklife has offered our communities a forum to express our voice, our talents and our pride in the performing arts. It is heart breaking for us to watch the festival board struggle for funds and we are energized to put together this event (dinner and performing arts) to raise funds for the festival. We are requesting artists in the Puget Sound area to help us organize this celebration of Dances From Around the World to celebrate Folklife and invigorate it. If you would be willing to put together a performance by your group to benefit Folklife, we would be very grateful.
Please let us know if this is possible. We can provide you with more details in terms of stage, sound system, location and size of the hall.
