Dear past/future WSMF artists:

Thanks for the flood of applications! The deadline for the 2009 festival is now past, as we're sorting through the applications to find the best mix of music and dance for the festival. We'll be in touch with applicants shortly.

If you have any questions in the meantime, don't hesitate to ask. We're looking forward to an amazingly diverse, engaging festival on March 7, with a a lineup of many artists who have not previously appeared at the festival. It's fantastic to have such a supportive community of artists interested in participating in this unique interfaith festival, sharing their spiritual traditions through music, dance, workshops, visual art, and more.

Yes, visual art is part of the mix, with a display that will be up at the Minnaert Center's gallery for about two weeks. The application for that can be found on the festival website. We also are having a marketplace for the first time, so if you know of someone who sells merchandise that would be appropriate at a sacred music festival, or an organization that would like to reach this audience with information, please refer them to the festival website, where they can download information and an application.
