Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to participate in the coming workshop, 1st International Workshop on Big Data, Streams and Heterogeneous Source Mining: Algorithms, Systems, Programming Models and Applications, in Beijing, China on August 12, 2012.

The Web site is http://big-data-mining.org/

We have invited three keynote speakers, Usama Fayyad, Bharat Rao and Guirong Xue to present their large-scale data mining solutions on various application fields, including data consulting, health services and cloud computing. Two speakers, Charles Parker and Vivekanand Gopalkrishnan from our sponsors will discuss two exciting topics: Unexpected Challenges in Large Scale Machine Learning and Big Data, Big Business: Bridging the Gap. Please find the details in http://big-data-mining.org/keynotes/.

In addition, 14 excellent papers on different large-scale data mining topics will be presented in the workshop, such as large-scale clustering on unstructured data: data stream and user generated content, distributed graph mining, large-scale on-line learning, novel large-scale computing framework, etc.

  • CluChunk: Clustering Large Scale User-generated Content Incorporating Chunklet Information
Yu Cheng, Yusheng Xie, Kunpeng Zhang, Ankit Agrawal and Alok Choudhary.
