Dr. G. Arthur Broten Young Scholars – Call for Papers
Proposals Due – August 20th (extended deadline)
The Dr. G. Arthur Broten Young Scholars Recognition Program provides an opportunity for young professionals to give an oral presentation based on professional papers or dissertations relevant to kinesiology and wellness. Submitted papers are reviewed and award winners are selected. Time is allotted during the annual WSKW conference for young scholars to present their papers.
The 2014 Western Society for Kinesiology and Wellness (WSKW) Conference will be held in Reno, NV October 8-10. http://www.wskw.org/
Selection Criteria:
Candidates for the Young Scholars Award MUST be full time faculty members currently employed in a related field of kinesiology and health at the college or university level.
Evaluation of Young Scholar papers is based upon their scholarly content, their organization, and their pertinence to the profession.
Topics may be chosen from any “issue” facing the field of kinesiology and health. Research reports, position papers, philosophical statements, or summary of the present state of any issue may serve as the basis for the scholarly papers.
