I simply have no idea how to share the loss of a valuable friend, Kirk McCracken passed away last Friday. Attached is his obituary.  Kirk was a marvelous friend and contributor to the higher education community.  I wanted to pass along the link for those that knew Kirk.

Dear All

This is the email I am trying to send out individually to all of Kirk’s client’s.  It will probably take the rest of the week to finish the task.

It is with overwhelming grief that Patty McCracken and Todd, Bremer, and Lawson announce the passing of Kirk McCracken, age 65, who transitioned to his heavenly Father on January 5, 2024, at 8:30 EST.  Kirk originally had a heart episode on October 14, 2023, that put him in the hospital until the last week in November, and Kirk was convalescing at home with Patty by his side since that time.

Kirk was released to come back to work on January 15, 2023. In the end, Kirk’s heart just was not strong enough.

Kirk joined the Todd, Bremer & Lawson family on June 22, 2015. Kirk was in the third-party collection agency industry for almost thirty (30) years.  Kirk was very impactful in sales, service, and the third-party collection agency industry, advocating most recently against legislation that impacted his creditor friends in Colorado.

Maklya Moody states, “I can attest that Kirk’s contributions to the legislative efforts on Colorado’s SB21-057 were constructive.  Kirk’s decades of service brought a unique perspective to the table in addition to all the other input and hard work he put in helping to make Colorado’s SB21-057 better for all Coloradans and current and future students.  Kirk’s hard work will have a lasting impact on many generations to come.  The extent of Greenberg Sada & Moody PC’s gratitude for Kirk’s involvement in Colorado’s SB21-057 is immeasurable.”

Kirk’s intensity will be missed by those who worked with him at Todd, Bremer & Lawson.
