I am thinking of adding user accounts to the site, partly in order to
allow people to agree/disagree with published predictions. Here's my
provisional design:
- predictions show a pair of agree/disagree links to users who are
logged in.
- if you go to a prediction detail page, you can see the count of
people who have agreed / disagreed, but this is not visible
elsewhere. The point here is to prevent popularity bias
- user pages show a list of predictions that user has agreed/disagreed
with, and how well they have fared as predictors (similar to the
current author page)
- there is some cutoff before the time the prediction becomes
testable when it is no longer possible to vote on it. This is to
prevent people juicing their stats by voting immediately before a
prediction expires
Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions!
