If the opener is not on the same origin as the current page, functionality of the opener object is limited. For example, variables and functions on the window object are not accessible. However, navigation of the opener window is possible, which means that the opened page can open a URL in the original tab or window. In some cases, this makes phishing attacks possible, where a trusted page that is opened in the original window is replaced by a phishing page by the newly opened page.

This will happen if the window starts in my domain, leaves it, and then comes back to my domain. I am attempting to have a social signup ( facebook, google, etc ) in the popup. When it completes it should close the new window and redirect the opener.
Do it the other way around. Track the state of the child popup window from the main (opener) window, and you could easily know when the child window has been navigated back to you domain, so you could "talk" to it again. But don't close the child window by itself. Let the opener window obtain the result from the child window and then close it.
Since 1999, it's been a firm web-usability guideline to refrain from opening new browser windows for several reasons. All of these also apply to opening new browser tabs and are still valid today:
The OpenVPN community project team is proud to release OpenVPN 2.5.4. This release include a number of fixes and small improvements. One of the fixes is to password prompting on windows console when stderr redirection is in use - this breaks 2.5.x on Win11/ARM, and might also break on Win11/amd64. Windows executable and libraries are now built natively on Windows using MSVC, not cross-compiled on Linux as with earlier 2.5 releases. Windows installers include updated OpenSSL and new OpenVPN GUI. The latter includes several improvements, the most important of which is the ability to import profiles from URLs where available. Installer version I602 fixes loading of pkcs11 files on Windows. Installer version I603 fixes a bug in the version number as seen by Windows (was 2.5..4, not 2.5.4). Installer I604 fixes some small Windows issues.
Important: you will need to use the correct installer for your operating system. The Windows 10 installer works on Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016/2019. The Windows 7 installer will work on Windows 7/8/8.1/Server 2012r2. This is because of Microsoft's driver signing requirements are different for kernel-mode devices drivers, which in our case affects OpenVPN's tap driver (tap-windows6).
Important: you will need to use the correct installer for your operating system. The Windows 10 installer will not work on Windows 7/8/8.1/Server 2012r2. This is because Microsoft's driver signing requirements and tap-windows6. For the same reason you need to use an older installer with Windows Server 2016. This older installer has a local privilege escalation vulnerability issue which we cannot resolve for Windows Server 2016 until tap-windows6 passes the HLK test suite on that platform. In the meanwhile we recommend Windows Server 2016 users to avoid installing OpenVPN/tap-windows6 driver on hosts where all users can't be trusted. Users of Windows 7-10 and Server 2012r2 are recommended to update to latest installers as soon as possible.
This is primarily a maintenance release with minor bugfixes and improvements, and one security relevant fix for the Windows Interactive Service. Windows installer includes updated OpenVPN GUI and OpenSSL. Installer I601 included tap-windows6 driver 9.22.1 which had one security fix and dropped Windows Vista support. However, in installer I602 we had to revert back to tap-windows 9.21.2 due to driver getting reject on freshly installed Windows 10 rev 1607 and later when Secure Boot was enabled. The failure was due to the new, more strict driver signing requirements. The 9.22.1 version of the driver is in the process of getting approved and signed by Microsoft and will be bundled in an upcoming Windows installer.
To multi-task and keep up with a few channels or direct messages (DMs) at once, open new windows in the Slack desktop app. You can have as many windows as you'd like, and drag and drop them to organize your screen.
The brain acquires certain skills-from visual perception to language-during critical windows, specific times in early life when the brain is actively shaped by environmental input. Scientists like Takao K. Hensch are now discovering pathways in animal models through which these windows might be re-opened in adults, thus re-awakening a brain's youth-like plasticity. Such research has implications for brain injury repair, sensory recovery, and neurodevelopmental disorder treatment. In addition, what we know today about these critical windows of development already has enormous implications for social and educational policy.
been struggeling with that problem since reinstalling windows 10 a couple of months back. I have to start acrobat first, then double clicking my freshly generation PDFs by Indesign will open. I i directly wanted to open them by double clicking, the acrobat task was visible in task manager but no window. I can close the tasks, start acrbot again and can open pdfs by double clicking...
Even had to restart windows sometimes cause i forgot to open acrobat first and even killing the task didn't help to get acrobat open again. Reinstalling Acrobat several times, didn't help either.
Consider using indoor fans in combination with open doors or windows to further increase ventilation. In addition to specialized window fans, box fans or tower fans can be placed in front of a window. Fans can face toward the window (blowing air out of the window) or away from the window (blowing air into the room).
Evaporative coolers (sometimes referred to as swamp coolers) are used in dry climates. They use water to provide cooling and increase relative humidity indoors. They can be whole-house permanent systems, or less expensive portable units. When operating as intended (with open windows), these devices produce substantial increases in ventilation with outdoor air. Some evaporative coolers can be operated without using water when temperatures are milder, to increase ventilation indoors.
Whole-house fans are typically used to provide cooling by pulling air through open windows and doors and exhausting it through the roof. When operated as intended, with open windows, these devices produce substantial increases in ventilation with outdoor air throughout a house. Avoid using whole-house fans if air pollution outside is high.
A reset would remove ALL of my installed programs and I'm not going to do that. Instead I reinstalled windows from an ISO file, choosing the option to keep all of my files and apps. It took all night to run. It fixed my other problems and presreved all my installed programs and all of them work afterwards, EXCEPT, as I said, Affinity which would not work even after I completely deleted and re-installed it.
Am also experiencing the same i reset my pc and reinstalled windows 10 pro other apps are working well but my affinity photo 2 and publisher wont open ave tried instlalling and reinstalling but completely it doesnt open
Here are some ways you can improve ventilation in your home. Using as many ways as you can (open windows, use air filters, and turn on fans) will help clear out virus particles in your home faster. You can decrease particles even more by continuing to ventilate after a visitor leaves (for example, an extra hour).
