I should not attend today

Hello Group,

Sorry, but I will have to bow out today. Yesterday, my choral director requested that we do as little talking as possible today--especially the sopranos of which I am one.

This is because what we must sing tonight is so strenuous for our voices. A LOT of very high notes, sung loudly and often repeatedly. (Beethoven is notoriously cruel to choral singers, especially sopranos. Celia, you know exactly what I am talking about!).)

I don't mean to come across as a la-de-da primadonna, but I think her advice is warranted. I know I do tend to get carried away in some of our meetings. So I will see you all next Thursday. Hopefully I can come up with some writing by then!
