Dear Compadres,

In her poem, The Ballad of Grape and Orange, the poet, Muriel Rukeyser, is the one trying to pigeonhole
the actions of that "Hotdog and drink vendor" into a binary system.
He is not labeling his own actions that way himself.

The Tzadikim Nistarim DO NOT EVEN KNOW they are Tzadikim Nistarim.

Their ACTIONS, as Tzadikim Nistarim, are "magical."
They Keep the World in Balance.

They do NOT Understand the IMPORTANCE of their actions,
outside of knowing they should not stop.
That it's important to continue.
They don't know Why but they Know they must keep acting.

Doing certain things over and over is INTEGRAL to Who they Are.

They cannot explain.

They MUST ACT.
And so they save us all!

Jill

The man who walked my road after the pandemic began, whom I called "The Singing Man" in one of my poems, may be one.

By the way, he still walks the road and sings, only  much earlier in the morning.
