I just wrote this in the last hour. So it is not polished.
Bob Stanley's class just ended at 4:15 pm and I wrote this in the last 1 1/2 hours.
And I'm sending it off for comments and suggestions! I know I was influenced both by Sobha's poem
in her Himalayan adventure and by the Spanish poems we just read today. Such turbulent emotions!  Jill

This is for our Thursday discussion, August 17, 2023.  Jill

A Rolling Wave

crashes furiously

against the boulder

suddenly spraying up and out

a water dragon launching into flight

the exploding beauty of a nova

brightening into life

all ephemeral

like your love

a powerful twisting turbulence

experienced painfully

spun into a safe and treasured memory

after the pain recedes

(I won't mention I nearly died)
