Just a few tiny tweaks and it is Perfect, I think.

This is a lovely poem. Real warmth comes through, affecting me.

Distance has no meaning

 

between friends who love each other.

We have our past to cherish,

the present that strengthens

our friendship, and the hope

that our future will have

more shared memories.

 

Distance had no meaning

when, on our computer screen, we chatted

and shared precious moments of our lives.

 Yet, nothing could compare to

the joy and happiness we felt

when we met in an embrace

so many years later.
