In Fifteen Years on Duty, I think you do show the officer's perspective well. Any shooting, especially one where someone is murdered, whether it is justified or not, plagues so many officers in ways we will never know. Sometimes the media portrays them as gun-slinging murderers who not only lack remorse but relish in that power. (And, let me say, I do think those bad cops are out there as well). On the last line, though I assume you mean he's drawn his gun hundreds of time at target practice or are you saying he is a serial killer when he is off duty. Am I overthinking?
