Dear fellow writers,

I hope you are all enjoying the 4th celebrations; there are murmurings in my head that may bear fruit later.

I have two short poems this week.  Back-Alley Buildings (a somewhat humerous Haiku) and Welcome.

Not sure which version of the Haiku to choose; the only difference is the last line. What do you think?

Helen,
I too like both of the haiku but I think the first is best - I think basic means unadorned.

I think "Welcome" is perfect but maybe if the title was changed to "All Are Welcome" it might be more welcoming. (Pun intended) EmojiEmoji

Thank you, Marian. I'll think about the title.

Hello Helen
I like the first version. Brief, simple and to the point. Sad but true.
The second poem is beautiful.
I hope to see you Thursday.
Celia
