I was notified yesterday evening that one of my first cousins, Lois, in New York, just died around 4:50 am yesterday morning, of complications from Parkinson's.
She was just ONE YEAR OLDER than I am. She was 72 years old.
She was one of 2 daughters of my mother's sister Rose and husband Mel.
Rose and Mel had also passed on already, years ago.
She leaves behind her sister Martha, age 74. Martha and Lois never did have children, a conscious choice they both made.
My sister Karen notified me:
"She had a bad case of Parkinson’s and had been able to do nothing for herself for months and months. She has had 24/7 aides to take complete care of her."
