Distance has no meaning
for friends who love each other.
We have our shared past to cherish, (past, not pass?)
the present that strengthens (instead of fortifies?)
our friendship, and the hope
our future will contain
more sharing. (maybe??)
Distance has no meaning
when we recall our lives,
in the messages of caring we exchange (maybe?)
but the images of our faces on a screen
do not compare to when
we embrace each other (maybe?)
so many years later.
Distance has no meaning.

Actually-the phrase “images on a screen do NOT compare” is the OPPOSITE
of saying “distance has no meaning.” Something to consider!
