Keening with mourning,

imagination closes

its eyes. Day begins.

I am guessing some might suggest “in mourning” but I like the sound “with” better.

I think of it as Shorthand for the sentence

Keening with mourning for the dead.

Great! I wonder if it would be even more powerful if you simply titled the piece with the name of a person.  Just a thought.
