HoweverI am using JavaScript, it looks like this method might be to do with Facebook Graph permissions, but I already have set the permissions user_photos and publish_stream, which I believed are the only ones I should need to perform this operation.
EDIT: this answer is (now) largely irrelevant. If your image is on the web, just specify the url param as per the API (and see examples in other answers). If you would like to POST the image content to facebook directly, you may want to read this answer to gain understanding. Also see HTML5's Canvas.toDataUrl().
FB is expecting that the bytes of the image to be uploaded are in the body of the HTTP request, but they're not there. Or to look at it another way - where in the FB.api() call are you supplying the actual contents of the image itself?
(incidentally, the need to encode the message body is probably what the PHP setFileUploadSupport(true) method is for - tell the facebook object to encode the message body as multipart/form-data before sending)
... and hope that FB anticipated receiving the data in this manner (try it with a static HTML form first, before coding it up dynamically in JS). One might infer that in fact it would, since they don't offer another means of doing it.
I am creating my first fb app. It allows user to browse through their local drive and select a photo. Once it is submit, it will redirect to the next page and process to the storing onto my server first then posting to user's wall.
The application is not working really that much. The part where user browse and app storing the photo on to my server is working, but it fails to grab the photo back from my server and post it on the user's wall.
When you upload any picture from your application, facebook creates an album into your profile named as your application. But this code will post the picture into your album. $_POST['album'] is the album name which I enter in a textfield. Then I just post the form and uploads photo. I hope this will help you
So what gives here, why am I unable to upload photos to facebook through the Brave browser? Why it took so long is that I blamed this whole mess on facebook and been dealing with trouble reports through them which they never responded too. I am not sure it is a facebook problem, especially since I can upload photos through the Opera browser.
Yes, you can quickly upload videos to Facebook using third party software. With a software you stand a chance to explore other functionalities of the software before uploading the videos such as editing videos. Moreover using a third party video uploader it will save you a lot of time since they are super fast when it comes to uploading of files. In the next part we are going to look how to upload videos to Facebook faster on your computer.
Having looked at its explicit features we can now look at how to export the Videos to Facebook directly using this software. Go to UniConverter and download the latest version of UniConverter for Mac and Windows.
On the program window, click on the "Add Files" button at the top left and select the videos from your Mac or Windows PC. Or click the drop-down icon beside to directly import video from your devices or camcorder. You can also drag and drop the videos to be uploaded to this Facebook uploader.
After that, open the output format window to choose video site. In the "Video" tab scroll down the menu until you see format like YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook. Select the website you want to upload your video. Here you could also choose the output resolution or more advanced settings like Bitrate, Frame rate, etc. Once finished all the settings, go back to the main window and click "Convert All" button to convert all the imported videos or the "Convert" button in each display bar to convert one by one.
If you are a Mac user, please go to the "Export" menu after importing your videos to the program. Then choose "Uploading to Facebook" and sign into your Facebook account. After that, you will be able to directly upload videos to Facebook on Mac.
I get a request to allow users to access facebook and allow users to use text chat and comment only. If users want to upload or send files, the firewall has to block them. Instagram as well, does not allow users to upload anything, but they can log in view, and comment.
I have configured SSL Description, created a policy to allow facebook-chat and facebook-base, and applied a file blocking profile. I also create a rule to block Facebook-file-transfer apps and set the action to drop above.
I can't seem to upload my Quest 2 recordings any more. I can make a video no problem, and then use the share button, it even says that they'll let me know when the video is done uploading, but it never uploads to my Facebook.
I figured it out! I looked back to when I was trying to upload another file, when at the same time I was uploading 2 others. those two uploaded, but the third did not. I recently recorded another video and tried to upload it again, and it worked. It only lets me upload when there is a more recent file in the camera app. to anyone having this issue, try taking a picture first. I would like to ask meta to look into this problem, And find why this works. Hopefully This helped!
We see you're running in to an issue sharing video files on Facebook from your Quest 2, and we're happy to help you get things working as expected again. Being able to share your VR experiences with others is one of the best things about it, so we'll get to the bottom of this.
Thanks for following up, and letting us know that your uploads are working as expected now. While we can't say for certain what the root cause of that issue was for you, we'd definitely be interested in digging deeper if it comes up again. For now, happy gaming!
hey im actually having this same problem. when i first started uploading videos i had no problems. but now it gives me the same notification about uploading but never does. i've tried everything, syncing it to my phone but keeps saying i dont have wifi on even though i do, tried to upload it to drive, wont work. and even tried to cast it to my phone and record, but for that the audio is messed up and never is lined up with what im doing in the vid. i honestly wish there were more options than facebook since i never really use it besides this. i just want to upload my vids. why is this so frustratingly difficult?.

I have tried logging out and restarting, but nothing I do will make it upload. I have it plugged in, full charge, and have reset my internet multiple times. No matter what I do It wont send to my Facebook. I don't know if it's too long, not enough memory or what, but nothing works.

So trying to upload my catalogue onto instagram and facebook but the catalogue had an error tag. I go to my shopify catalogue and it says product is not shown here as shop is password protected or shop is disabled. The shop is not password protected so how do I get the disable off it? I have not received any prompts to follow to upload documentation or proof of anything.
Verify that the individual products you want to include in your catalog are set to "visible." To check this, go to the specific product's settings in your Shopify admin and ensure that the "Online Store" visibility option is selected. After ensuring that your Shopify store is configured correctly, go back to your Facebook and Instagram catalog setup. Reconnect or reconfigure your catalog if necessary.
Hi thanks for the reply, but as it says in my original post the shop is not password protected and online store is visable. The catalogue has uploaded into facebook but it won't populate the items into my facebook page. Is there any advice on how to do this step?
If your products are importing successfully from Shopify to Facebook, but the products are then not being pushed from your Facebook Catalogue to your linked Facebook Assets (like your Shop, for example), then there may be some issues with your products within your Facebook Catalogue that need to be addressed from within the Catalogue directly. I found this resource here from Facebook's Support Pages regarding how to troubleshoot products not appearing in your shop. I recommend checking out this Facebook resource, and then reaching out to Facebook directly for support if these errors are appearing within Facebook's Catalogue.

We've all been there, we work so hard preparing, shooting, editing or whatever it may be when we're involved in taking photos. After everything is finished and the photos look amazing, we cannot wait to share our photos to the world. But are they the highest quality possible?
