Writer's Extras extension released

Hello,

I've released a new OpenOffice.org extension called Writer's Extras.
It includes a couple of tools that didn't make it to the Writer's
Tools extension. So far, the Writer's Extras extension include three
tools: Post to Blog (lets you post the text of the current Writer
document to a blog powered by the Bilboblog engine), Translit
(converts transliterated text to Cyrillic), and Quick Markup (formats
the current document using the DokuWiki markup). I wrote this tools to
scratch my own itch, but I thought that some of you might find them
useful. The extension is not documented. Your comments, ideas, and
suggestions are welcome.

I have a question about Writers Tools. I upgraded OO to version 3.1. Now the email backup of Writers Tools isn't working. Is that because I upgraded the OO version? TIA.

Hi Rita,

What version of Writer's Tools are you using? The latest version
doesn't use a Python script, and it requires an email client installed
on your machine.

I have Outlook Express as my email but the Writer's Tools email backup was definitely not working. It crashed into an OO macro script, I think. I ended up removing OO 3.1 and installing 3.0 and the email backup now works perfectly. Not a very elegant solution :-)
