WHAT'S NEW:
  • changed: New spell checker and language tools.

    • Hunspell, new spelling engine which uses native Open Office / Mozilla dictionaries. Hunspell is state of the art spell checker for languages with complex word compounding and rich morphology. It is based on older MySpell standard and can also be used with original MySpell directories. Hunspell is the default spell checker for OpenOffice, Mozilla Thunderbird and Firefox, Google Chrome and the Apple MAC OS/X operating system since version 10.6.
    • Support for virtually all languages (see Downloads section on more info how to get the dictionaries for languages not available on wm site).
    • New spelling UI.
    • You can spell check whole doc or only a selection.
    • Skips internet addresses, emails, comments, tabbed paragraphs (markdown code).
    • CTRL+Click word or hit SHIFT+7 to get thesaurus entries. If word is misspelled, spelling suggestions are shown.
  • added: Improved plugin engine and richer API + New plugins: Clandestine files, Scratch pad, Preview ... (see Plugins section for more info)

  • added / fixed: You can now do Replace All on a selection not just on the whole text.

  • added: You can now show/hide white spaces from the Preferences / Screen elements menu.

ERROR MESSAGE RECEIVED WITH VERSION 2.7.0.3, IZTOK:

Hi Josip,

When I try to upgrade from version 2.6.0.5 to 2.7.0.3 the following happens:

If I just expand the new version in an empty folder, it works correctly (but of course as "anonymous" instead then as registered user, and with any settings/plugins I had disabled).

If I try to upgrade by copying over the new files on the 2.6.0.5 installation, I get the following error, and the program doesn't load:

64 bit: True
OS: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1

I have a feeling this might be linked with the modification you made in 2.6.0.5 to allow the repository to be the reverse color (as it used to be before) - a modification for which I'm really grateful.

I'd love to use the new version (with the reverse-colored repository). Any suggestion?

Thank you for your help!

Please, check the Spanish dictionary pack, as it causes the program to crash (and never start again).

I've dowloaded the Firefox dictionaries and the OpenOffice Thesaurus, and they work flawlessly, so the package in your web is clearly the problem.

I've tried several Thesaurus files, and the only one I found that works is this attached colombian version. I think there's something wrong with the official es_ES OpenOffice dat file, as is suspiciously small sized.

Thanks! Those dat files should be ordinary text files, but "official" Spanish one is a binary file. Have no idea why ... Is Colombian Spanish identical (or close enough) to Spain Spanish? Are there differences?

Colombian is close enough, but I found an alternative, updated version here: http://openoffice-es.sourceforge.net/thesaurus/

It's basically the same Thesaurus, but with 3000+ words. The problem was that the most updated file is encoded weirdly, causing the accented vowels to appear as garbage, so I converted it to UTF-8 and now I have a fairly good Spanish Thesaurus.

Have this new "handmade" file attached here.

Hi Josip,

I am in the process of translation this to danish. Instead of using the openoffice dictionaries I would use libreoffice. No other reason then I use libre rather then oo. For my language there are da_DK.aff, da_DK.dic, th_da_DK.dat, which I understand I should just rename to da_DK.dat. But there is also a hyph_da_DK.dic.. since there are two files with extension .dic how do I handle this?

Also I would like to ask if WM is at an end-of-life or just final, as you named it? If any bugs creep up on later OS's would you be interested in fixing WM?

Thanks for a great alternative way to writing.

You don't need hyph_da_DK.dic. If you have further problems, let me know an I'll prepare the dics. Wm3.0 will be a complete rewrite so in a way wm2.7 is the last in the line.
