Hi,

I'm using WM 2.6 on Windows 7 and encountered a strange (an pretty annoying) behavior:
Whenever I press ESC (or F11) to get from fullscreen-mode to the WM-window, the fullscreen just disappears, but no window is showing. The only thing I got left of WM is its icon in the taskbar and in the little window using Windows' ALT-TAB. Whenever I choose one of the two, I can get back to fullscreen-mode pressing ESC, but WMs window is just gone ...

Any hint about how to get WM back to normal again is appreciated!

I can't reproduce this. Do you have 'Quit to system tray' enabled in Preferences / Open&Save?

Thanks for your reply. I've not been able to reproduce this either, after I fixed it using this:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/75291-offscreen-window-move-back-desktop.html

It seems that some weird key-combination (not using a mouse on my computer) caused the window to be shifted somewhere off the screen, though I can think of how this happened, so the reported behavior was "correct" but still very confusing and annoying if you don't know why this occured.

I'm also have this problem with WM 2.7 under Windows 10.

The F11 behavior is happening exactly like this.  The difference is I'm using a dual monitor setup.

When I right click on the doc and 'Toggle Full Screen Window' , it goes full screen fine on my laptop screen.
However if I try and move the program over to my large monitor,  the program completely disappears.

I have to click on the icon in the taskbar a couple of times and hit F11 for it to come back.   Its like the
program is somehow 'hiding under my desktop' like a too low value of CSS z-index will hide an element
on a webpage.

I cant help but think this has something to do with the fact that this is the only Win program I currently
own that does not have the option (that I can find) of having a standard menu bar, toolbars, and status
bar framing everything.  I'm not a windows programmer however so I'm just speculating on the odd
behavior.

Is there anything we can do to address this?  Its a great program I love using it otherwise.

This may have something to do with using extended desktop with a second or third monitor or a projector, and then disconnecting those or rebooting the machine without those being connected.

For some reason with some software (not just WM) Windows does not bring certain windows back to the main monitor when you disconnect the secondary monitor, or turn extended desktop off, or reboot without the monitors being attached.

I figured out for myself which software behave like this and make sure to drag them back to the main window before shutting down the computer or disconnecting a display. But I didn't know about the above sevenforums trick, I'll try that next time. If that trick doesn't work then try to reconnect your secondary monitor and drag the window back to the main one.
