Is there an Insert key on your keyboard? It will toggle insert on off. :)

Usually that is system dependent, toggled with the INS key which is generally next to the DEL key, so you may be brushing it just enough to activate it sometimes when reaching to delete.  Hopefully that's all it is, as I don't thing WM has the ability to effect your Insert/Overtype setting.

Hello,

My text entry mode seems to switch at random between "overwrite" and "insert." I'm not sure if I'm hitting a hotkey unwittingly, as I can't seem to find any mention of these different modes of text entry being switchable options.
When I'm stuck in overwrite mode it becomes very difficult to edit, how do I switch to insert?

Thank you,
Bryan
