They are nearly identical sizes. 24m has a slightly higher weight but lower height. it does fit diapers better. My daughter currently wears a mix of the sizes, but 24m pants as she is on the short size and not potty trained yet
TBH I'm finding that it varies drastically by brand. My little guy is tall and skinny. We have some clothes that are 18 month that are still too big in the waist and some 24 month clothes that are already too short. It's maddening. Right now we're having a lot of luck with cat and jack pants in size 18 months and primary in size 24 months. He can almost fit into primary 2T. Gap, Old Navy, Carters, and H & M have all been a bust in terms of pants for him.
we usually buy my daughter stuff from Carters and the 24 months from my understanding is 18-24, I wish that I had just gone to 2T as its slimmer for my daughter. the 24 months for bottoms are definitely wider and shorter than the 2T. we have been doing 3T tops and 2T bottoms recently, but she is also 34 inches tall and only 27lbs.
always size up. I stocked up on 3t clothes for fall and winter and I'm actually worried he will outgrow them before it's over. he's a big boy but his legs are short compared to his top and arms. I usually have to roll up his pants unless they have a elastic around the ankles
My son is a Christmas Eve baby so we're still a couple of months away from his second birthday. I'm trying to buy him fall/winter clothes that might get us through the next six months, but the sizing is driving me crazy. He's on the smaller side for our kids' age but, of course, growing every day. My understanding of \"24 months\" versus \"2T\" is that they're similar but 2T clothing is usually a bit longer and may have a slimmer build, while 24 months accommodates bulky diapers. I bought everything in both sizes but when we try them on they look almost identical. I'm inclined to go with 2T even if it's a little big, as long as my son isn't tripping and the clothes aren't falling down.
