The driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution while first responders worked to ensure the safety of the bees that were in hives strapped on the trailer, which landed on its side, officials said.

The temperature in the 40s might have kept the bees from getting rowdier during the several hours it took to get the truck upright and removed by a tow truck, he said. A beekeeper was summoned to corral the bees, he added.

The truckload of bees was headed to Washington County, which is the center of the state's wild blueberry industry. Bees are routinely trucked into the region to pollinate the blueberry barrens each spring.

I loved the electric brakes I installed on my old boat (went full electric because the surge brakes were totally shot). Electric brakes are so much more predictable/consistent coming down big mountain passes or reversing down a slippery ramp. Plus I just don't like the clunk of the surge brakes. I am debating doing an EoH conversion for my current 2019 22 LSV and am curious to hear from anyone who has done this.

Also, ideally the conversion would be "reversible", so I could pull the components off and install on my next trailer whenever we upgrade....if I'm going to sink $1k in parts I'd like to be able to take them with me. Any thoughts on how realistic it would be to revert back to the surge brakes?

Seems like "undoing" the conversion to take the actuator to the next trailer will be a decent time investment (re-bleed all brakes, re-wire everything, etc.). Probably gonna wait and see how my new 3/4 ton diesel feels with the surge brakes before making any changes. If I still hate the surge brakes, I can do the conversion and will just make it permanent.

On May 23, 2024, at about 8:00 a.m. Troopers responded to the report of a commercial vehicle rollover crash with serious injuries on I-87 in Albany, NY. The investigation determined that a tractor-trailer traveling northbound struck the concrete barrier separating northbound from southbound traffic. The collision caused the tractor-trailer to overturn onto a northbound passenger vehicle. The driver of the tractor-trailer and a passenger of the other vehicle were transported to Albany Medical Center. A passenger in the tractor-trailer Sabrina D. Bermudez, 50 of Ludlow, MA and the driver of the other vehicle Paul Keiley, 64 of Rockville Centre, NY succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The vehicle passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered serious injuries and remains in stable but critical condition at the hospital.

The crash occurred around 8 a.m., and all northbound lanes at Exit 23 are closed until further notice. I-87 southbound has one lane closed as the State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the crash. Motorists should avoid the Exit 23 area and consider taking an alternative route.

For registration purposes, trailer (manufactured or homemade) means every vehicle with or without motive power, other than a pole trailer, designed for carrying persons or property and for being drawn by a motor vehicle.

Deckover trailers have a deck that sits above the trailer wheels rather than between them, like a standard flatdeck. This design means the platform is higher and broader than other trailer designs. Deckover trailers might have a flat deck or walls for hauling and dumping loose materials.

When choosing a trailer for your business or personal use, you have many options. You may wonder what makes one trailer better than another. Here are a few unique advantages you can get from a deckover trailer:

You might use deckover trailers for various tasks. These tasks include handling bulky loads, especially those 6 feet or wider. Deckover trailers also work well when the fender and wheels get in the way, such as when loading lumber or using forklifts to place items on the trailer.
