Wrens,
Today I got the following message from Wilder Library about our concert planned for 6/17.  😟

We might try to find another venue to capitalize on our 6/17 calendar availability.

Hi Anne,

I'm afraid we are going to have to cancel June 17 and table the idea for this summer.   Just as we were firming up our calendars, the Hartford Community Coalition was finalizing their date for the annual block party.   They have announced  the same day and it will involve our library staff and volunteers.   I thought we had it but it was not to be, at least this year.   Please tell your fellow musicians how sorry we are that it didn't work out.  Hope to have you at the holidays.

I will let Catherine Foss know as she already updated the CAFUV calendar with our second performance.

I’m very much in favor of looking for an alternative venue, but if possible a better date and time from the perspective of drawing an audience.

In service of that, is everyone’s availability up to date on the google calendar? What about 6/12 or 6/13?

Too bad, after agreeing on a date we're all available!

I could do 6/12 or 6/13.  What did you have in mind for a second venue?

Would a different date work for Wilder?

Not as far as I can tell from the note I got from Jane Powell, who says we unfortunately have to table this for the summer

People in Woodstock often ask if we’re doing a concert “in town”.  We could consider St. James.

Given The program overlap with our last Woodstock concert, I would suggest that we perhaps have a different venue than St James. That said, we could think about Barnard or Pomfret. Or the church in Windsor?
